Kuruma Imports attended the Florida Fast Expo event held at the Miami Airport Convention Center (MACC) this past weekend. The Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) importer submitted three JDM cars, of which the 1996 Mazda RX7 “Rocket Bunny” and 1998 Mitsubishi Pajero Evolution racing-inspired, homologation car, each received an Award of Excellence plaque. These JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) vehicles appeal to the new younger generation of enthusiasts and spectators.
“I was surprised, first time at the Florida Fast Expo, two out of the three JDM cars submitted got awards, thanks to the judges for recognizing these classic JDM beauties,†says Jorge Lopez, Manager of Kuruma Imports. “We had a great time talking to the vendors and learning about their products. And to make my day better I placed fifth in the Fastest Lap Tournament from Ricmotech eRacing.”
This was a great family-friendly event with music, food, dyno testing, lots of vendor goodies, and many cars for enthusiasts to enjoy. There were a lot of door prizes and giveaways during the entire expo. The Kuruma Team is looking forward to attending next year’s event.
