What:
Identity is a collection of characteristics linked to something that help people recognise it. While all objects could share the same characteristics, they cannot all have the same identities. The unique identification feature is used to assign a unique identity. An Identity as a Service (IDaaS) system called Cloud Identity, handles users and groups from a central location. To federate identities across Google and other identity providers, such as Active Directory and Azure Active Directory, you can set up Cloud Identity.
